Tommy's pregnancy at work scheme

We're pleased to be working in partnership with Tommy's, the leading nationwide charity fighting to save babies’ lives, to support parents-to-be in the workplace.

The partnership will involve us referring our clients to the Tommy's Pregnancy at Work scheme. The aim is to help transport companies join the scheme and demonstrate support for parents-to-be in their workforce.

As the UK’s leading baby charity, Tommy’s funds research into pregnancy and provides award-winning NHS accredited information and support for parents on their journey from conception to a healthy baby and beyond. The Pregnancy at Work programme is designed to arm organisations with the tools they need to provide the best level of support for pregnant employees and their managers. The programme provides a wealth of information and support for parents-to-be including telephone access to Tommy's midwives and information on how to ensure a smooth return to work after pregnancy.

Jo Field, Founder & Director of JFG Communications, said: “We're delighted to be working in partnership with Tommy's. We're encouraging our clients to join the Pregnancy at Work scheme to show support for parents and parents-to-be in the workplace. Supporting parents is crucial to improving workforce diversity and attracting and retaining talent.”

Catherine Deakin, Senior Business Development Manager, Tommy's said: “The Tommy’s Pregnancy at Work programme reaches over 300,000 working parents-to-be and has member organisations across the length and breadth of the UK. We’re pleased to be working with JFG Comms to help us expand our reach in the transport sector. Pregnancy at Work is an effective low-cost way for businesses to provide support to pregnant employees throughout their pregnancy. Ultimately it helps protect employees and saves babies’ lives.”
